Goodness! 13th quarter is in recovery mode right now! Last week we were in Atlanta taking Board Reviews and last weekend we took the actual Part IV Boards. Coming back to Spartanburg meant a few days of recovery while seeing patients. Today, Thursday, we all took our Exit Exams.
Exit Exams are a series of exams similar to Part IV but they do not involve as many stations. So did we have to study for Exits? Of course, because no matter how much you may have studied for Part IV, you can never be perfect. There is always more to review and improve on given the time to do so.
So yes, tonight we are de-stressing. As for me it involved reading young teen, adventurous “bed-time stories” AKA “Nancy Drew and the Haunted Bridge”. What’s not to love about returning to childhood memories of Nancy Drew?! This weekend we plan to make that pumpkin pie we haven’t had time for yet… from a real pie pumpkin. And, because I’m in a cozy “back to home” mode, we will also make some apple crisp from scratch! Some of the above will be going to the bake sale at my daughter’s school on Monday as well.
It is true there is a written paper and Power Point project due on Monday for Research and Design but that’s well along the way. Oh yes, this Friday night is reserved for old classic movies and popcorn! Whoo hooo! Since we mustn’t forget the creatures we’ll be taking a few long walks with the dogs. We’ve got quite a weekend planned!! Ahhhh!
Future plans include planning a graduation party for this December (!), sending out invitations and trying on the new boots I ordered just for the occasion! Simple pleasures to distress from the intensity… but simple always keeps me happy! J Happy Fall!
