Amazing Race Comes to Sherman College Campus

Playing off the hit TV reality show The Amazing Race, Sherman College’s Quality Enhancement Program Team came up with a winner for helping our students do better on National Board Exams.

I had a few minutes to surf the Sherman website today and took a look at the weblogs of some of our students. I admit I don’t always take the time to see what they are writing about so I was pleasantly surprised at the quality.

Here are a few topics I though alumni might enjoy reading.

Sherman's Brett Wharton Interviewed

This is a follow up to an earlier post about Sherman students participating in the local College Town Community Service Initiative (CSI). The event was last Saturday and one of our Sherman students, Brett Wharton, was interviewed by the newspaper. He said that he loves Spartanburg and was happy to represent Sherman at this event. Point of Pride: Sherman Students Volunteer in the Community

This Saturday, February 28, students from Sherman College and all of the other Spartanburg area colleges will volunteer their time and talents to the community as part of the College Town annual day of community service. Students will have the opportunity to volunteer for a couple of hours of community service at a host of sites throughout the city ranging from the homeless shelters to children group homes to nursing homes, to Habitat building projects and more!

We are also proud to announce that of all the college presidents in Spartanburg, our President Jon Schwartzbauer has been selected to give opening remarks to the all of the participants for this event.
