We Feasted at the Staff Potluck Lunch

During the weeks when the students and most of the faculty are on break, the staff organizes a potluck lunch for those on campus. Today was our traditional fall break covered dish luncheon. YUM! We had delicious fried chicken, salads and vegetable side dishes, cocktail weenies, meatballs and decadent desserts.

Starbucks Opens in Spartanburg

I mentioned a few weeks ago that a stand-alone Starbucks was being built on Pine Street in Spartanburg. It's now open for business as of last week. Here's a photo of it taken this morning. It's a very popular place right now. You see, even though you could get Starbucks over at the Marriott or Barnes and Nobles, this is the first free standing Starbucks establishment in the city.
