I had a visit from an Upstate chiropractor last week that got me thinking about how much we need to know who is available to do coverage work. I get several requests each year from pacticing chiropractors looking for a doctor who can cover their practice while they take a much needed vacation or deal with family emergencies. Unfortunately I don't always know who can help them out.
If you are a Sherman graduate doing coverage work, please email me to let me know your availability and where you are willing to work (state, cities, general geographic area). I know that depends on where you hold licensure.
The doctor who visited me was Cindy Pradhan from Lakeside Chiropractic in Anderson, SC. She told me that when she first graduated from Life University she did coverage work for over a year. It was a great way to earn money while she figured out where to launch her career and also a great way to get experience in the business of chiropractic, she said. She got to observe many offices and gleaned good ideas which she eventually incorporated into her practice when she opened.
If you are doing coverage work in the state of South Carolina and would like to talk with Dr. Pradhan about her needs, call me and I'll give you her number. You can reach me at the office weekdays 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 800-849-8771, ext. 277. Or email me any time at [email protected].
