Layperson of the Year: Renee Hillman

Renee 034

Renee Hillman, of Hellertown, PA, has been a straight chiropractic advocate and a member of the Sherman College family since 1976. Since 2001 she has worked tirelessly as the administrative assistant for the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations, providing the FSCO a reliable and familiar voice for all incoming queries of membership, professional information and related needs.

 Renee 001

Over the years, Renee has been found at FSCO seminars, booths, board meetings to name a few. She is the behind-the-scenes eyes and ears of all things related to running the office - from mailing lists to newsletters, from scholarship processing to the needs of the board of directors and general membership. Many lifelong friendships have resulted through her years of dedication to the profession and Sherman College. Renee’s children have attended many Lyceums as they were growing up in chiropractic. She happily tells that daughter Leah shares her September 18 birthday with chiropractic!

Renee has long been a devoted volunteer for many organizations in her home community, including the Saucon Valley Music Connection, the Saucon Valley Supporters of the Performing Arts, The State Theatre Center for the Arts, and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Her passion for the performing arts often finds her in the audience of a concert or musical, whether supporting her favorite students on local high school or college stages, or under the lights of a Broadway theatre. She serves regularly on various task forces as an advocate for her local public school district.
