Another Boards Quarter

It's hard to believe that it is just about time to take another round of National Boards. The reviews here at Sherman College have come and gone. Now it is time for us to buckle down and study the materials we have been given in preparation for the fast approaching National Boards. Time really seems to fly by when you have a lot to do and really need to do some studying. This time around, I am preparing to take Part III of the Boards. Then, in November, it is time for Part IV. It would really be nice to pass and get them out of the way but that is much easier said than done. It is really hard to balance your time between working in the clinic, clocking all of your required hours and keeping up with your patient visits, completing class assignments, and then finding some time to study for Boards. Needless to say, I have not spent nearly as much time studying lately as I need to. I hope that in the next couple of weeks, I can devote a great deal more time to studying. I am going to have to if I want to have any hope of passing the Board and being able to mark it off as one of the obstacles I still have left to complete before receiving my chiropractic license.

Panthers Training Camp

Last week, Friday evening to be exact, my boyfriend and I ventured over to Wofford College here in Spartanburg (only about 10 minutes from Sherman) to meet one of our classmates, Jake Parrish, his wife Rachel, and their little boy Lincoln to watch the Carolina Panthers in action. The Panthers have been in town for their training camp for a couple weeks now and we finally made it over there to see them. If you have read any of my blogs from the previous football season, you probably already known that I have grown to like football much more than I ever did in the past. I attended a couple of training camp sessions last year as well and I would strongly recommend it to anyone, football fan or not. Some people come out to see who is new to the team and how they are looking for the upcoming season. I honestly have no idea what is going on during their practice sessions, but I still love going. It is a great atmosphere and an excellent excuse to get out and get some fresh air. On Friday, we ordered a pizza from the Venus Pie pizzeria downtown (our favorite pizza place in Spartanburg) and headed to the training camp where we put down a blanket, bought a couple drinks at the concession stand, and enjoyed a picnic while we watched the panthers practice. It was so much fun!!!! It was a nice night out too which helped a lot. It was a little humid but other than that we couldn't of asked for much more.
