Sherman College is embarking on a journey to create a new program that will involve every aspect of the academic experience. We're creating a new group of modules that are designed to help students convert knowledge into performance. It will actually be a multi-faceted approach and incorporate several different learning and testing methods. Some of the methods will be computer centered. Some of the methods will involve peer interactions, and some will include instructor participation. All of these interactions will be geared toward integrating the information form several different academic areas, and putting it to functional use (turning knowledge into performance). We've named this new program, the Performance Enhancement Modules or PEMs for short. I'm anxious for this program to get rolling, even though we are in the very beginning phases of it's implementation. In fact right now we are just trying to create a campus wide awareness of this sweeping new project that will be phased in over the next 6 months to 5 years. I've include a picture of some of our admissions staff who graciously agreed to help make posters for one of our PEM events planned for next week.
