Growing up in a dental family, Chris always thought he would end up being a doctor. But after spending time in his father’s dental practice, Chris realized he had “no real love for putting (his) hands in people’s mouths.” Following college, Chris started his own contracting business, but after his wife gave him an information package from Sherman, they decided to close the business, uproot the family and move to Spartanburg. Finally back to the blogosphere...

It has been kind of crazy this past month...rushing around trying to get patients and keep up with assignments, as well as bank enough clinic hours to stay on track for the quarter. We have Lyceum coming up and that cuts into our available hours as the Health Center is going to be closed for a few days during all the festivities.

I have been promising to post the pics of a recent canoe trip on the Edisto River...so a bit of setup: We paddled in about 13 miles, stayed in a treehouse overnight and paddled out another 10 miles or so the next day. Didn't catch a fish, but got quite the workout. All in all, I would have to say it was a trip with a cool factor of 9. If the rains and cold weather would have stayed away and the fish would have been biting - it would be a 10, though! It was all about friendship and celebrating another birthday with a good buddy - HAPPY BDAY CHRIS.
