Okay, so it’s hard to believe…this quarter will be over two days from now. This past week I have been housesitting/petsitting here in Spartanburg. I don’t have any pets of my own (although we do have a “family” dog) so it never ceases to amaze me how much responsibility animals can be! This past Tuesday night I finished up a 13-week Bible-study class that I have been taking. It is called Prasso and is best described by its logo, “A Place to Start for a New Beginning.” It was a wonderful experience, and I made many new friends.
This quarter I am taking a class called Pediatrics & Geriatrics. One of our assignments is to donate an hour of our time at a local nursing home. I went to the nursing home this past Friday and met a really nice lady whom I plan to visit with regularly. I had no idea it would turn out to be such a positive experience! Sunday I traveled along with six other students down to Atlanta, GA to take a one-day seminar with Dr. Susan Brown. She is the doctor that has been teaching me the Blair Technique in seminars. As always I learned so many great things that I was able to begin implementing/fine-tuning yesterday in clinic!
Also, not to be forgotten…Survivor season finale was Sunday night…I am very glad Danni won-I was rooting for her (gotta love the underdog)! I just finished taking my first exam…four more to go plus a research paper and I’ll be done! Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!
